Kitchen Renovation
This is fun story. My sister and mother were planning year long kitchen renovations, so I started dreaming up my ideal kitchen. I rent, so this probably wouldn’t happen anytime soon.
That’s when my landlady called and said, “we’re renovating your kitchen”. WHAT THE??
She’s highly intuitive too, so we were telepathically on the same page design wise. Manifested!
I helped plan the kitchen layout, manage contractor schedules. I collaborated with 3 housemates to efficiently arrange the kitchen and pantry in the dining room. Not pretty, but manageable. I sorted and tossed unneeded stuff; painted cabinets (love that instant gratification); and put things back in logical zones.
What a transformation!
Arranged the dining room as a kitchen with easy access to the bedroom, seating area, pantry items, and bathroom for washing dishes.
Planning the cabinet space, and getting ready to paint.
Don't call it Junk, or you'll accumulate junk. Call it Utilities and only allow useful items in.
For a house where housemates change, I DIY'd label sleeves for cabinet shelf name tags.
Name tags on each side of the cabinet.
All done!! Breakfast feels so much more calm.
