Utility Room
The client had moved earlier in the year, and was very organized, but she hit a wall. She couldn’t muster the motivation to sort, purge, and organize the utility room. She was feeling frazzled and needed help finishing up.
Vision: Functional, seasonal, easy to access.
Where's Waldo? Awkward space on a 1/2 floor made me feel like I was in Being John Malkovich.
The client wanted to use the storage space for artwork, art supplies, memorabilia, and out of season clothes.
It's easy to get frazzled and jump from spot to spot. I'm there to help us focus on one spot at a time. We start with the hardest stuff first to take advantage of our well fed bodies and fresh morning minds.
The artwork needed sorting and tossing. Tip! You don't have to hang all your art at once. Curate it every season, or every 5 years. It's an easy way to freshen up your space.
Sorted the art facing out for easy viewing, with cardboard between pieces to prevent damage.
Ahh! Clear floor space. Get out your roller skates!
Visions coming to life. The client put the rack together while I packed boxes.
The client did much of the heavy lifting and knew where she wanted to donate items. Thank you stuff. You served your purpose. Out the door you go to your next loving home!
